What to tell about this recipe. This is a beautiful and healthy and very tasty upma recipe. You can make it as upma, chat or salad, but the method is same with little bit of alterations to the recipe. I got this puffed wheat from a fresh market and thought of trying this upma recipe, believe me or not, it tasted way better than the puffed rice upma, and it is healthier too. This is the first time I am making this recipe, now that I am sure it is good, thought of sharing this recipe with all too.
Ingredients:

2 cups of Puffed Wheat
1 Onion Chopped
1-2 Green Chilies chopped
1 Tomato chopped
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/4 tsp Chili powder
1/4 tsp Amchur powder
1 tsp Lemon Juuice
1 tsp Oil
3 tbsp Cilantro chopped
Method:

1. In a sauce pan add oil and when it's hot add onions and green chilies and saute it until the onions turn translucent.
2. Reduce the flame to low add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and amchur powder and saute it until the raw smell of the spice is gone.
3. Off the flame and add the puffed wheat and lemon juice and mix well.
4. Quickly transfer this mixture into a serving bowl and garnish with tomatoes and cilantro on top.
5. This recipe should be served immediately after preparing, else the puffed wheat will get soggy after sometime.
