Straight From The Hands Of A Master Chef!

STRAIGHT FROM THE HANDS OF A MASTER CHEF!
The Poster
Dibs  rushed back home from her shopping still unfinished, and dragged me back to the same  Mall again. She said that  a surprise awaited me at the Mall. We reached there after a fifteen minute walk. I was more than thrilled with what met my eyes! Kumar Pereira of 'Master Chef Australia' ( the popular cookery show ) fame was giving a promotional cooking demonstration!

The demonstration
The demo had just begun. There was not much of a crowd yet. And we witnessed a command performance by one of the most favoured Master Chefs of the 'Master Chef Australia' show. Knives and ladles were flying in his magical hands effortlessly!
The Master Chef in action
The very first dish that he prepared turned out to be Bruschetta, an easy to prepare vegetarian dish. (The other two dishes were non vegetarian ). Samples were served to the viewers by a girl who was done up as a mobile dining table!
The mobile table
Dibs and I were excited when we tasted the Bruschettas infused with a  special flavour (what we call 'kai manam' in Tamil ) by the magical touch  of the super Chef. We had the great opportunity to talk to him. Dibs got his autograph for my twelve year old grand daughter who is a great fan of 'Master Chef Australia', especially of Kumar Pereira.

Cocoa Cake with Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cinnamon Frosting

I wanted to do something different for my Halloween Event, had lot of things in mind, but could not accomplish all because of the time crunch and in weekdays I get much tired and loose interest in experiments too much. So I kept it simple, but tried to include the ingredients related to my event and as always keep in mind to use healthy alternative on ingredients. Well I hope I accomplished it with the recipe, but by the time I made this and waited on the cake to cool down to decorate with frosting, it was night and could not do well on the pictures. But anyways something is better than nothing right ?? :)

Here is my event ending on the 5th of Nov...and the recipe follows below the event logo....

Ingredients:
------------

Method:
---------
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In a mixing bowl add the dry ingredients and mix them with a whisk.
3. In another mixing bowl with a hand mixer blend all the wet ingredients.
4. Now add the dry ingredients to the wet and blend it slowly or until mixed.
5. You can either fill this mixture in a a cup cake pan to make cup cakes or in a baking pan to make cake. I used the baking pan and baked it as a cake.
6. If the batter is used to make cup cakes it will make about 6 cup cakes and will make a medium sized cake.
7. I topped it with walnuts, you can choose any kind of nuts or keep it optional.
8. Bake the cake for about 20 - 25 mins or until done.
9. Allow it to cool and then decorate with the frosting.

Method:
---------
1. In a bowl add all the ingredients, and with a hand mixer blend all the ingredients well.
2. Refrigerate it until the cake is done and cooled.
3. Now pipe the frosting on to the cake with any design of your choice or just spread it over the cake or cupcake.

Bankrupt Plumbers???

Recently here at SPLASH Plumbing we have had at least one new client PER DAY call in for service using us for the 1st time!!!! What is drawing them to us you ask? Turns out there has been a recent trend of plumbing companies (both large and small) filing for bankruptcy or "just plain falling off the map". Bad for them ..... GOOD for us.

If you have been following ANY of the BLOGS on this site, you will notice we are very appreciative of each and every client. We try and keep up with the current economic "hoop-lah" that has caused a lot of reputable companies like SPLASH Plumbing to really "dig deep" and reinvent ourself to ensure our quality and standards don't  disappoint our clients. Well... this has worked and "word is spreading" about the outstanding service(s) we offer here! Don't believe me ...... just check out our testimonials!

Although we never rejoice when we hear the news about a competitor "throwing in the towel" .... we do however take a moment to reflect on how we operate to make sure this situation does not happen to Splash Plumbing!

So far in 2012 we have fortunate enough .... lets just call it what it is ..... "BLESSED" .. to have been able to introduce not one.... but TWO new service vehicles into our fleet. Demand for our services have been that high and this just goes to prove the we must be doing something right!

If your "favorite plumber" has disappeared and you have stumbled upon this site looking for a new company to service your home or property .... look no further than SPLASH Plumbing
