Mint Chutney for Chat

It took only few minutes to prepare this recipe. I love this recipe just for the smell of mint. Lemon juice gives freshness to this chutney and don't miss to add that while preparing this recipe. This chutney is slightly different from the south Indian mint chutney which we use for Idly and Dosa. This chutney mainly used as sauce for chats including samosa, breads, Chilli bajji etc.

Ingredients:

Mint leaves - 10 strings
Coriander leaves -5 strings
Garlic cloves - 2
Ginger - 1 inch
Green chilli - 2
Lemon Juice - 2 teaspoon
Salt - to taste

Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon

Method:

1) Wash the Mint leaves and coriander thoroughly and remove the leaves from its stalk.

2) Peel the skin of the garlic and ginger.
3) Empty the ingredients into a mixer / blender / food processor. Add little water (as per your requirements) and blend them to a smooth consistency.
5) Mint chutney is now ready.

Note: You can store this chutney in refrigerator up to a week and use it as a side for your dishes / snacks.
